I wasn’t able to spend Tuesday or Wednesday with these guys because I had to take care of that thing…it’s on the tip of my tongue…when you have a responsibility that’s a ton of work, but doesn’t pay, and most of your work is never actually reviewed by human eyes…school!  That’s it.  School got in my way of what sounded like two awesome days of fun in the sun.

TUESDAY, the gang went on a sightseeing tour of Beverly Hills and Hollywood.  Not exactly sure what’s going on in this photo, but I love it.  They never told me they went to the rodeo.

WEDNESDAY, they packed-up some essentials and spent the day in Newport Beach; starting with a visit to the Crab Cooker.   Bob, Matt and Jodi have a funny story about this place from about a decade ago that I’d love to share, but have to be careful not to publish any incriminating information on the Google.  I’ll just say this – we’ve all wanted to do it, they just had the cajones to follow-through!

Now that’s a good lookin’ group.

When I got these pictures from Jared, I called this sequence of events before he ever had to.

1. “Alright guys, it’s time to get out of the water.”

2. “Awww.  You never let us have any fun (frownie face).”

They don’t exactly look like they’re not tired.

THURSDAY, started with some beach cruising down to Venice and up to Will Rogers State Beach.  In the middle was some poolside cocktails (of which I was able to partake).  The end brought a fantastic last supper at BOA Steakhouse.  And the very, very end finished with the nightly pilgrimage to Pinkberry.  Let’s talk about franchise opportunities…

FRIDAY, the folks had an early flight, while Matt, Jodi and family were able to squeak out a few more hours of respite from the Iowa cold.  I was feeling kind of bad that they hadn’t seen any celebrities on their trip; until I got the text that Khloe Kardashian was in the middle of a photo shoot at the hotel pool.  Jackpot!

Spring break only comes around once a year, and I know you had a lot of options.  Lea and I are so happy you chose to come here.  Until next time.  Love you, guys!
