Newport Beach Harbor Cruise
September 11, 2010
As we all know, though some may have forgotten by now, last weekend was Labor Day. JP came down from The Bay and Saturday evening we hooked up with his friends, Guy and Terry, for a cruise on their boat around Newport Beach Harbor!
Jared wasted no time popping the champagne.
Nothing goes with champagne like champagne grapes! Am I right?
That’s right Jerry, you cut that cheese!
And don’t forget to feed the man at the helm!
Ahoy fellow boating enthusiasts…
I dedicate this shot to my boy, Benny.
No more bubs? No problem! Pop that Pinot Gris.
Triple Creme and Fig. I’m so jealous of myself sometimes.
Can you believe people live like this? I know what you’re thinking…slobs!
“Nick” Cage’s old place (until it got broken into and he lost all of his money – though I’m pretty sure those were two unrelated events).
John Wayne’s old boat, Wild Goose.
Evidence that Guy is a maniac: He let Lea take the helm! You think she looks scared…
Here Guy gives her some tips for driving with your eyes closed. You just gotta feel the ocean…
Around the time the sun went down, we docked the boat in front of The Cannery for a phenomenal dinner. Apparently the sushi bar upstairs is a pretty hip scene, but we cozied up on the deck with heaters, blankets, and a seafood salad worth the long drive down the The O.C.
Guy and Terry, thanks so much for the hospitality. Next time you’re thinking of heading out on the water and want some company, give us a ring!
